Geoff Golden has been involved in basketball player development of both amatuer and professional athletes for the past 11 years. Coach Golden gets tremendous satisfaction from helping an athlete to help themselves by providing techniques and tools, motivation and inspiration along with an education on work ethic and self-discipline that will assist each athlete in reaching all of their basketball dreams!!! Geoff has owned and operated Triple Threat Basketball Services for the past 11 years. Beginning in Austin, Texas in 1997 and eventually making the move to Colorado in 2001. During that time Geoff has had the opportunity to work individually with hundreds of basketball athletes of all ages and abilities while also having the privilege to work as a lead instructor and camp clinician for numerous high profile basketball camps and clinics across the country. Over the past few basketball seasons Geoff has also had the opportunity to provide his services to some outstanding organizations and programs in the state of Colorado. Most recently serving as the player development coach for the Colorado 14er's of the NBA Development League. During the 2007-08 season Geoff was fortunate enough to work with four D-League All-Stars three of which earned NBA call-ups during the year. Eddie Gill (Seattle Supersonics/New Jersey Nets), Billy Thomas (Cleveland Cavaliers/New Jersey Nets) and Kaniel Dickens (Cleveland Cavaliers). Geoff also had the opportunity to work with NBA assignee Taureen Green of the Denver Nuggets. Prior to the 14ers's Geoff spent 4 years on the high school level working as an assistant coach/player development. Serving two seasons at Legacy High School and two seasons at Broomfield High School. While at Legacy Geoff spent time as both the head freshman and head junior varsity coach as well as duties as a varsity assistant. In his time at Broomfield Geoff served as a varsity assistant with a primary focus on player development. In two years at Broomfield the Eagles finished with an overall record of 44-10, a Northern Conference Championship and back to back trips to the Final Four of the Colorado State Championship Tournament. As a player Geoff was an undersized overachieving point guard from Durant, Oklahoma. He finished his high school career as a two-time All-State selection, led the state in scoring and free throw percentage and was ranked the top point guard prospect in the state his senior year. He went on to play Division 1 basketball at Texas State University where the Bobcats were the 1997 Southland Conference Champions and earned a bid to participate in the 1997 NCAA Tournament.
